Vitanov's painting is characterized by his strong, impulsive style of working. Despite the total freedom of his expressive communication, human bodies repeatedly emerge in a more or less ciphered form. With the addition of materials such as sand, cardboard or lattice structures, the paintings acquire an almost relief-type quality, the strong colors appearing to reach out into the room. Valentin Vitanov, who was born in Bulgaria in 1949, studied painting at Veliko Tarnova University. In 1983, he became a member of the Union of Bulgarian Artists and joined the Stuttgart Artists' Association in 1990. Apart from being awarded many prizes, the artist has already presented his works at countless exhibitions at home and abroad.
