A fresh sea breeze meets those viewing Katharina Noack's works. Originating from the far north, the artist dedicates herself to depicting lighthouses. Painted on old sea maps, they stand lashed by the waves like rocks in a storm. Born in Bremen, Katharina Noack studied to become a commercial artist at Bremen State School of Art. After periods of employment in studios and in industry, she turned to painting in 1978. Numerous exhibitions, as well as permanent presentation of her paintings in the Galerie Behrmann in Bremen, bear witness to her success.
