When a host of vibrant colors hit you in the eye, when you are captivated by vivid, gaudy contrasts, you are surely standing in front of one of the outstanding pop art portraits by Vladimir Gorsky. Currently the painter, who was born in Russia, is focusing on American culture. For instance, he portrays the icons of the 20th century in sumptuous colors, following the pop art tradition of Andy Warhol. Every painting is applied to the canvas manually which gives, e.g. each of Marilyn's portraits a somewhat different vibrancy. "I want all of my paintings to be unique of their kind", explains Mr. Gorsky describing his ambition. With his background of a sound artistic training and a born passion for art, Mr. Gorsky emigrated in 1987 from Russia to the US where he swiftly got down to pursuing his art. His painting "Tapestry of the Centuries" where 2000 years of world history are encapsulated on canvas in the manner of Da Vinci is a unique masterpiece. World-famous personalities from the fields of politics and showbiz place great value on his works which have been presented in quite a number of exhibitions across the USA.
