Summery blooms and still-life compositions in rich tones are just as much the subject of Jürgen Schmiedekampf's paintings as the hustle and bustle of the city. The versatility demonstrated by Schmiedekampf, who studied at the Design Academy in bremen and has already received several awards for his creative work, never ceases to amaze. For instance, in his most recent series, "New York", he captures in a unique way the incessant pulsating of this global metropolis, finding the appropriate expression to reflect its movement and its atmosphere. Expressive and masterful brush-strokes coupled with strongly contrasting colors give rise to works that have already found admirers at numerous exhibitions at home and abroad. Many of Schmiedekampf's paintings are held in private and public collections, also being shown by well-known galleries, such as the Andreas Baumgartl Gallery in Munich.
