Born in Romania in 1977, the photo artist Ortwin Klipp discovered his love of photographs at an early age, "since pictures," according to the artist, "communicate." His exceptionally impressive photo sequences are dedicated to nature, to growth and creation, to constant change. In his "Evolution" series, human beings comes to the fore. The human image is blurred past recognition, creating an homogenous composition of colors and forms that evokes a wide range of associations. His collection entitled "Liquids" is devoted to water and its soft, flowing movements, its purity and its transparency. The water´s surface becomes a canvas for figures with an abstract quality, bizarre reflections in the water lending them a life of their own. Ortwin Klipp purposely captures such moments with his camera, creating dream worlds into which the onlooker can become absorbed. From 1997 to 1999, Klipp acted as an assistant to the Biennial artist, René Chacón. Having trained as a furniture designer and studied web design, he has worked as a freelance artist and commercial illustrator since August 2000. His highly-imaginative photographic creations have already been shown at numerous exhibitions of his works in Germany, Italy and Romania.
